Tweed Valley Hospital Internal

STONEKAST is proud to have been part of the Tweed Valley Hospital project, a cutting-edge facility spanning 7 levels and adding 499 beds to the Tweed-Byron region. As a pivotal healthcare hub for a rapidly growing community, this hospital is designed to provide essential services while embodying modern architectural innovation.

For this project, we partnered with Bates Smart to create custom paving solutions that not only meet the high standards of durability required for a healthcare setting but also deliver an aesthetic that complements the hospital’s contemporary design. We crafted large 6x6 tile featuring a new colour Bunarong which feature Australian aggregates with a white backdrop.  The Honed finished tile resulted in a robust yet elegant surface that enhances the internal entrance of the hospital.

In addition to the pavers, we also supplied custom stair treads with a recess for nosing treads, designed specifically for the internal stairways. These stair treads, also crafted in our Erskine Honed finish, provide not only durability and strength but also ensure safety with the added recess feature, offering a sleek, non-slip surface ideal for the high-traffic environment of a hospital.

We’re thrilled with how our products have integrated into the fabric of the Tweed Valley Hospital, enhancing both its beauty and its functionality. This project stands as a testament to our expertise in crafting custom solutions for complex architectural projects, where quality and innovation go hand in hand.
