Ohana
STONEKAST was proud to be involved in The Ohana Garden by Georgia Harper (GHLD) for the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIFGS). Georgia approached STONEKAST with the warning that her unapologetically kitsch Hawaiian theme for the garden would be polarising. Georgia wanted the concrete elements to be connected to the theme, beautifully detailed in their execution, but understated, so as to complement rather than distract from the bolder themed elements, namely the shimmering mosaic of surfing Leilani and the cobalt blue table and fire feature.
STONEKAST worked with Georgia to develop a bespoke “wave” paver and complementary curved rebate and cladding products. Erskine Honed was chosen with a custom colour created for the cladding and bench. The custom product utilised Erskine as the background colour and featured recycled ‘sea glass’ blue/green aggregate. The project showcased STONEKAST’s capabilities and the attention to detail you can achieve working with a local design-led company.
